South Beach Olympic Peninsula

RVing To The South Beach Campground

RVing To The South Beach Campground… Everyone who has ever been to the Olympic Peninsula knows just how beautiful and fun it can be. There are many places to visit and stay and some locations are considered super popular among frequent travelers. However, i want to tell you a little bit about a not-so popular but hidden gem for RV camping… South Beach.

South Beach was rated the Best RV-friendly destination by Northwest Motorsport featured in the Seattle times. Its not considered the most luxurious of locations. The amenities are not its draw. South Beach is all about the views and the raw experience of the coast.

South Beach Olympic PeninsulaSouth Beach sits on a bluff looking over the Pacific ocean just 38 miles from Forks. The Park is first come first serve. No reservations are available so make sure to arrive there early on the weekends between May and September. South beach is very affordable. All 55 sites are $15 a night and can house your RV 21ft up to 35ft long (There are only a few at 35ft). Be sure to bring your own potable water. None is available on the campground. There is less privacy there than the other campgrounds but you cannot beat the open ocean views.

There is a trail that takes you directly from the campground to the beach. On the beach, there are picnic tables and fire pits. Cook your dinner and dine with family next to one of the most beautiful views in the world. From South Beach you can explore all the other great attractions like the HOH Rainforest and  Kalaloch Beach.
